We are now well into the school year, or back to our jobs after a nice break. I thought I’d share my top 3 tips to managing schedules and keeping organized! These work great with our team, try them out with yours!
Organize your life on paper
Even though we’re way into the digital age, i’m a firm pen and paper girl. It’s scientifically proven to be effective because when writing things down, the movement your hand makes connects to your brain and memory. It enables you to remember things more. It’s also a great habit to keep your life organized into categories you seem fit. I’ve used tons of planners, but here are my top 2.
If you are an incredibly busy person that juggles several things at a time, doesn’t conform to a 9-5 job then this is your go-to as it tracks your schedule hourly. Check out the passion planner!
If you do have a routine-based life, likely a 9-5, and don’t necessarily need to track every hour of your day, check out the productivity planner!
Utilize a digital tool
I know we just talked about good ol’ pen and paper and how necessary it is to write things down, but don’t disregard the efficiency an online tool can do. They are incredibly helpful, and not necessarily used just for work/school, but for your personal lives as well! I like using Trello because it’s super simple yet gets the job done!
If you’re a visual person like me, you’ll understand why this is so important. Colourful post-its are my go-to. When juggling 101 things at the same time, even with a planner and your phone and all that, it’s hard to always document and remember things. This is why i use colourful post-its, and place them around areas i am constantly going to. For example: i always have a post-it near the outlet by my desk, to remind myself to grab my charger with me before heading to work so my phone doesn’t die while i’m out. Try it, it’s very effective!
Those are our top 3 tips! We hope they helped you out. Share yours below!
