How Azha Started
Naming the Brand
The Team of Azha
For years, I (Rawaa Bakhsh) tried to find accessories that represented my spiritual & cultural identity. I was tired of not seeing this representation in jewelry & retail stores.
I decided the best way to fix this problem was to create my own designs. This was how in August 2014, Azha was born.
I decided to take on a huge risk and invest my savings to create unique Azha accessories. I spent sleepless nights talking to manufacturing factories, scared my savings would all go to waste while trying not to take care of my family and my master’s thesis.
I was creative but If I wanted Azha to grow I needed to find a business partner and that’s how Sara Bin laden joined. We spent countless nights hand packing every single product and creating products on spot at local markets.
Our mission at Azha is to passionately create meaningful, spiritual, and cultural accessories that represent identities for Muslim people around the world.
